Jonathan Franks
Director
of Ag/Tech
Jonathan, a Kentucky native and proud father of Stone and Signe, is a highly accomplished chef. He graduated from The Culinary Institute of America and served as Sous Chef at The Maisonette, the first restaurant to earn a Mobil 5-star (now Forbes) rating. With 15 years of culinary experience in Colorado Springs/Pueblo, he played a pivotal role in achieving Forbes Five Star ratings for Penrose Room at The Broadmoor Hotel and various wilderness properties.
Jonathan also served as the Executive Chef at Waterfront/21Steak in Pueblo and contributed significantly to accredited apprentice and mentor-based training programs during his chef career. Currently, he is the Director of Ag/Tech at Pueblo Diversified Industries, where he aims to expand job placement and vocational programs. Jonathan’s culinary philosophy centers on using fresh, local ingredients to let the food’s quality speak for itself, and he finds inspiration in the growth and progression of his children, Stone and Signe.
