FOR FAMILIES
The Supported Community Connections (SCC) Program helps people live happy, meaningful lives as valued members of their community. Part of Human Service Programs, SCC offers personalized 1:1 and small group activities—always held in community settings.
Participants choose the peers they spend time with, the places they visit, and how often they take part. Activities reflect each person’s interests and can include bowling, zoo visits, gym sessions, fishing, swimming, community events, baseball games, the CO State Fair, rodeos, and more. Every outing is designed to foster connection, independence, and a true sense of belonging.
Each experience within the Supported Community Connections (SCC) Program is designed to strengthen confidence, build social relationships, and expand independence. By encouraging choice and self-direction, the program empowers participants to take an active role in shaping their daily lives. Every outing becomes an opportunity to learn practical skills—like navigating transportation, interacting with others, or managing new environments—while deepening each person’s sense of purpose and belonging.
